Dear Heskett Middle School Parents/Guardians and Students,

We would like to WELCOME you to the 2022-2023 school year!  I hope you are all enjoying your summer!

Welcome back to our returning students and families and a very special welcome to the class of 2029, our new 6th grade students and their families. I would also like to welcome any new students and their families to HMS! The 2022-2023 school year is one that will be filled with both success and new challenges. During the last 2.5 years, our communities were faced with the pandemic and fought hard to overcome the challenges. Determination, grit, hard work, support and resilience are all qualities that our students have exhibited. These are the same qualities that we will carry over to ensure that students are successful at HMS academically, socially and personally.

Our school staff have been very busy over the summer:  getting a new roof, cleaning and moving classrooms, hiring new staff, as well as a few other surprises students will see upon their return. 

We are pleased to welcome Ethan Lubera to our Heskett Middle School Family.  Parents and students, during the 2022-2023 school year Mrs. Crystal Dillard (Assistant Principal) and Mr. Ethan Lubera (Dean of Academic Achievement) will serve as your administration team along with myself.

The Heskett Middle School Guidance/SEL Department would like to welcome a few new faces, whether in a new role or new to the building. We are pleased to have Delvonte Greer, Marla Henderson and Tim Zuercher at Heskett Middle School. The assignments for the 2022-2023 school year are as follows:

Laura Hogue-- 8th Grade Counselor

In closing, we would like to thank you for your continued support of your child and our school district. Please note I will be mailing home an important list of dates for the upcoming school year once they are set.
