• Dr. Cassandra Johnson became Assistant Superintendent for the Bedford City School District August 1, 2017. Prior to her appointment as Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Johnson served as a middle school computer science teacher for the Dublin City School District and Lakewood City School District, as well an assistant principal for the Lakewood City School District, assistant principal for the Parma City School District, High School Principal for the Parma City School District, and HR Director for the Parma City School District. She obtained her Bachelor of Education, Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, and Principal Licensure from the Ashland University. She obtained her Ph.D. From Concordia University.

    Dr. Johnson’s primary role, working with the Superintendent, is to ensure that student needs are being met by overseeing the building level administration day to day operations, the athletic director/department initiatives, and all certificated human resources and labor relations job matters.     Colleen Jackson is the Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent. She began her tenure with the district in 2005. Prior to her appointment in the Assistant Superintendent's Office she worked for the Directors of Curriculum & Instruction with the district. Colleen came to Bedford City Schools with six years of experience as the Executive Secretary to the Superintendent of Chippewa Local Schools in Wayne County. She received her A.A.B. in Secretarial Science from Muskingum Area Technical College in 1985 and has been working in the secretarial field for over 30 years.

    Colleen and her husband are the loving parents of a chocolate lab, Jasmine.
